Re: Gsxr Help Page-
sounds like you need a new battery bro. i accedentally hit the start button all of the time and nothing like that has ever happened. you might have fried the battery or some crazy ****.

Re: Gsxr Help Page-
Someone mentioned that they had made their own gear indicator for a gixxer. Could I have more details on it, so I could make one for my gixxer as well? Have been looking to buy one, but if it is not a big deal to make one, why not save some money on it...

Re: Gsxr Help Page-
look it up. usually they mis match anyways if you are taking it for an inspection. All of my bikes mis matched but as long as everything is clean then you're good to go.

Re: Gsxr Help Page-
As in I won't damage the motor doin wheelies?
Or is my only option toppin it off with extra oil and hoping for the best?
What does he mean by "tamper proof"?
Also, I saw the reinforced sub frames with the 12 bar built in to them. Does anyone have a something similar for the 06 gix 600?

Re: Gsxr Help Page-
i got rid of my over flow tank on my 05 GSXR 600, never had any problem and im from the central valley in CA, it gets to about 106-108 in the summer, if you want to be smart i would run an overflow hose some where away from your rear tire just in case

Re: Gsxr Help Page-
Hey
i want to share my experience with a cam swap in my gsxr600 k4/k5
I have a fully stock engine with freeflow muffler and a DB-killer, I have blocked my SAI also.
the problem with a gixxer is that you have a very bad idle and a aggressive throttle respons.
I want to solve this problem with a PC5 but you keep a very aggressive throttle respons and the idle is still weak.
I found out that A GSR600 and a GSR750 have the same engine as the k4/k5 models gsxr’s,
but they retuned it for better low and mid performance they did that by putting in different cams, exhaust, airbox, velocity stacks and ecu.
I also found out that the valve lift from the GSR750 is only 0,3mm smaller then from a gsxr600 k4/k5.
so I ordered some gsr750 2012 cams on ebay to test, and they bolt right in, no need to set cam timing, the marks are the same as stock.
tested the bike today and the idle is much better even without the PC5 it rides good.
your peak performance is a little less but with stunt gearing you will not notice this at all.
in a few days I go test the velocity stacks from a GSR600 2008
for all who don’t know a GSR is a kind of mini b-king that isn’t sold in the US.
you can also put GSX-S750/1000 cams in your k4/k5.

Re: Gsxr Help Page-
After some testing with cams and velocity stacks i end up with this setup:
GSR750 2012 intake cam
stock gsxr600 04/05 exhaust cam
GSR600 2008 velocity stacks
stock mapping
with the GSR750 exhaust cam you lose top end power.
the GSR750 cam have the same degrees (255) only 0,3mm less valve lift.
the problem is that the GSR750 cam is 4degrees more retard then the gsxr600 exhaust cam.
so when I put the gsxr600 exhaust cam back in there was much more top end power and in the lower rpm it’s still smooth.
PS gsxs1000 cams don’t fit, the intake cam has no connection for the cam position sensor.
I will put a gsxs1000 intake cam in my gsxr750 k5 so I take it to a engine builder to let it machined.

Re: Gsxr Help Page-
trying to install some used race rails on my 04 gsxr 600. I have some racing 905 rails and subcage I already installed. but upon trying to install my race rails my rear motor mount bolt I pulled off seems to be too short now. anyone have any experience with this? do I need a new longer bolt?
