GSXR stuntex oil pickup

Bought it off ebay USA for a total of £60 inc P&P and it took 4 working days to ship from the states. Although it is surprisingly small, infact its a bloody rip-off but if it saves my engine from destruction, its a deal.

Stuntex thought its best Not to send me any instructions, not even the two screws needed to install it

Can someone please tell me how to fit it?

Re: GSXR stuntex oil pickup

dont need new screws.. use the ones that bolt on your stock oil pick up... and use locktight. .. take off the radiator, headers... then drop your oil pan....theres only one place it bolts up to. you cant screw it up! good luck

Re: GSXR stuntex oil pickup

Radiator! and headers! sounds like a big mission for this newbie. Its the first time ive gone deeper than the spark plugs.

I know to drain the oil before taking off the oil pan, but is their any other stupid stuff i should avoid with the radiator?

Ant,

take your time, lots of rags and don't runn your engine for too long before hand. even though the oil will drain quicker/easier, the exhaust radiator and sump will be hotter to work on. take your time and fitting is the reverse of removal

Good luck

Re: GSXR stuntex oil pickup

no need for the oil pick up yet and. there only needed if your doing bar tricks. just over fill it a bit. also you can use your standered pick up instead of buying 1 of them by just turning it round.

Re: GSXR stuntex oil pickup

I know i don't need it really as i can't do a wheelie but I like to think positively

ive bought the oil pickup already, after Lee told me i needed one. Even if i don't need one yet id rather have one and not have to worry about those funny noises that gsxr engines make.
