How the **** are you people getting stoppies up in the wet. I see more and more pics doing this, yet I still lock up stoppies from time to time on clean smooth pavement in Texas Heat. I hate you people.

Re: Stoppie Psi ?

i think tire pressure for the stoppies is just like for the wheelies, at first you run low pressure for stability but when you get experienced you crank it up a notch. i started my wheelies with 15 psi and now i'm at 25. same thing with the stoppies i run 25, but on this f4i i suck so horribly at them though

Re: Stoppie Psi ?

i'm rolling pretty decent stoppies on a stock f4i front end. rolling 200 from 100 now. i put 15 w fork oil in the forks so its more stable, slower movements and it comes up faster., i closed the rebound a bit, the compression aboyut one and a half turn out. the f4i with clipons really needs a good steering damper once you are rolling a certain hight (no power stoppies) so get one.
i have the psi up to 2.1 bars, i dont know how many psi that is..

Re: Stoppie Psi ?

this works really good for me Boogie. the thing is: replacing the oil must be done precise! the airchambers in the forks cannot be too small or the fork will get rockhard. too big and its a sponge. so drain them good, and put in the specified amount!

as for the settings: the compression in too far means that the bike lunges forward everytime you make brakeadjustment midstoppie, too far out and it doesnt control the height of the stoppie enough.

make the rebound slow (close it almost) so that way the pogo effect goes away a bit.

make sure there is NO play in your steering damper!
