Stoppie Psi ?
Re: Stoppie Psi ?
i think any sport tire as long as its new will hook up good.. Once it gets cupped your screwed.. Loved the Supercorsa race tire though. Not really a big fan of the lower pressure,, its not worth the gain as far as my style and how i ride goes.. i love to rip around town, hit clovers and low pressure and circles are bad,, dent the rim then when your rollin endo's your **** is bouncy and jerky which im sure will throw you in some nice tankslappers.. I even found i had more lockups at the low presure, but once again because i was not warming up the tire constantly.. it would be up in the air for a while then an back to endo's always back and forth so meh.. Just wanted to see what some of you guys were working with..
Re: Stoppie Psi ?
I believe the weight of the rider plays a factor in what psi works best, a heavier rider needs more pressure, lighter riders need less...
there are other factors to consider, pavement temp & tire compound...
can we get some stoppie pros to reflect on what psi they have found is best for their weight...

Re: Stoppie Psi ?
you ain't rolling 270 plus with twenty pounds, i'll tellya that much.
32 up front and 36 out back (that's a secret so don't tell anyone!)...harder to ride, but once you can control it, you can really control it...on the front or the back

Re: Stoppie Psi ?
Im Runnin A Bridgestone Race Take Off And Have Never Slipped The Tire At 32 Psi. Never Got Any Wobble. The Take Offs Are The Best To Me Cause They Grip Till The Threads Show, Great Tires.quick Warm Up Too.
Re: Stoppie Psi ?
how come no one has mentioned their physical body weight?
or the outside temp they endo at, I find that at colder temps u need to lower the psi...

Re: Stoppie Psi ?
33, i prefer control over stability, and love the supercorsa, and since i got a damper never had a wobble so im sticking to a hard front
nice to read what the big boys gotta say on this

Re: Stoppie Psi ?
I like about 25, but the only difference I find is that 180 stoppies are more difficult on a low pressure tire. It is just sluggish to turn in, and then wants to dive once it does. I feel better at a little higher, but I will not run over 30 psi ever, a little stability can save you from a career ending crash.
