So i've had this re-occuring problem and can't figure this **** out. Here is the dilemma. SOMETIMES when i turn my bike OFF either with the key, or Kill Switch my Starter will start cranking. Thus killing the battery in seconds, unless you turn the key or flip the kill switch and Start it back up.

This has happened twice when i crashed before. Thought i needed a new starter, so bought one and replaced it. Then it happened again when i crashed few sessions later. Got yet another starter and replaced, also got new throttle housing and replaced thinking it might be in the start button itself. And took some extra time to try to FIND THE CAUSE OF THIS PROBLEM. Got some feedback that maybe the starter solenoid was grounding out on the subframe. So checked that real good and secured with electrical tap. And wedged some material between it and subframe so it couldn't smack against it in another crash. Cut the cover off the wires that connect to starter and they looked good also, so electrical taped them back up.

Now yesterday, it happened again and I didn't crash at all. just went to take a break and when i turned the bike off the STARTER started cranking again. So i quickly started it back up so it didn't drain my battery. And had to figuire out way to shut my bike off. lol So i had to unbolt the seat and pull the BANK ANGLE SENSOR. Then i reinstalled the bank angle sensor and started my bike, let run for sec. then turned it off and it was fine & normal.

Anyone ever experience some **** like this? first crash i thought starter, second crash i thought short to solenoid, now NO CRASHES and I'm thinking its something electrical somewhere but where?

Anyone have any suggestions on where to start/look now? What does the Bank Angle Sensor do? Tip over switch is removed and wires are spliced. Any help or suggestions is greatly appreciated in advance.

 

is your crashing because of the starter?

anyways .. is the wiring hacked up at all , cause it sounds like something might have gotten mixed up ... did this just start happening out of nowhere

 

so you have eliminated the solenoid now..... cause im pretty sure thats you prob
