so my cam chain tensioner just went out on my 2000 r6 wonderin what engines will fit in this bike with no or minimal fabing.... lookin like engine will be cheaper than a rebuild

 

cam chain tensioner cost about 50 bucks and takes about an hour to put in

 

hehe i wish thats all it would take but no it jumped time and everything and now i have messed up valves and possibly cylinders and pistons i havent got that far into the engine yet.... when i try to turn the engine over at the pickup coil rotor it doesnt want to turn and then the chain just skips

 

so this cam chain tensioner failed with no warning

 

yea was ridden all day stopped to talk to a buddy then took off again temp and everything was normal. pulled up to a red light sitting there idleing and heard a clicking (chain slipping) then bike died. havent had bike long its my new project but was dumbfounded when that happened

 

just put another r6 motor in that bitch .. then youll have no problems wondering if shyt will fit and plug up and u wont have to change your cpu

 

thats what im wantin to do have no clue where to get one tho i live close to evansville, IN ne help on where i could get one with decent miles would be great preferably places other than ebay

 

ya if it were me i would just get another motor

 

well your on a motorcycle site so id say check .. here and just look around u on craigslist something will pop up soon enough
