99' R6 Clutch Problem

Hey so I just had a new clutch put in about two weeks before the bike was winterized. Road the bike for those two weeks and have been riding for about a week since the bike came out of storage. Ever since a couple days ago When I pull the clutch in and pop it into first the bike just stalls. I threw the bike up on the stand and Popped it into first and it stalled. Second time it worked fine. It seems that it's the first start every day. I called the dealership they said I just have dry clutch plates and to ride it around a bit more. What do you guys think?

Thanks for reading I know it's kinda lengthy.

Re: 99' R6 Clutch Problem

who put the clutch in? did it work fine before u winterized ur bike? do u know how to use a micrometer or a dial caliper? u can take ur clutch cover off and check the spec's of the clutch and clutch springs if u wanted to find out whats going on. i would just take it easy for a day and just bomb around on ur bike. i havent heard of anything like that before....let me know how it turns out.

Dont sound like a clutch issue at all. Check the switch on your kickstand......
