Re: Your favorite 9mm
im just strongly considering VCU, not 100% im gonna go there.
and true that, VA is a very uptight state.
im not gonna carry a weapon on me untill im 21 ofcourse, but im gonna have my dad purchases me a gun under his license to practice with at the range.

Re: Your favorite 9mm
I mean I've walked through some areas in Richmond after leaving the clubs that I wouldn't exactly wanna walk through alone but it is a city, not a suburb so you gotta expect it. What made you choose VCU? I would have most def. picked a four year like Va Tech But enjoy VCU bro... and I would say just be careful who you pull that out at, cause you know how cops love to turn **** around up here in the "great commonwealth" we live in. One moment your protecting yourself, and the next you'd be prosecuted for trying to defend yourself.
FYI: You can't own a handgun until your 21.... only rifles till then. (once your 18)

Re: Your favorite 9mm
your spelling was correct if you are talking about a channel or something similar http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mare_Island_Strait , but you were talking about straight, as in a direction.

Re: Your favorite 9mm
I had a Hi Point and it was a hell of a gun for $139. It never jammed and was decently accurate for range shooting. It's nothing compared to my 1911 but they are a great gun for the money.

Re: Your favorite 9mm
what do you intend to use it for? i.e range shooting or personal protection

Primarily for target shooting, but a mag will probably be kept loaded (out of the weapon) just in case. That looks like a decent gun. I was looking at a few glocks, just dont want to drop $400+ right now.
