Re: Your favorite 9mm
I've shot guns before.. M4... etc.
Granted it was a rifle, but I never had a problem shooting a 300m target.
Nor did I shoot and kill any of my buddies... None of you know me
But as far as why I want it to look good, would you want to only a gun thats puke brown and looks like it's from 1940? **** no.
So I was reading some reviews on the XD9, and they say its an amazing fun for defense and ****, but sucks for precision targeting... aka ranges right?
I like the look of that, and want something easy to shoot at the ranges but also good for defense...

kahr pm9s are my favorite 9mm.. i like the sub compact 9mms.. very easy to carry and extremely reliable after they're broken in
this shows how small they are
only thing with sub compacts is the kick to them.. the barrel is only like 2 inches so it has a very nasty kick

An expert shooter can shoot 3" groups all day long with a stock glock/xd at 25 yards. Way more accurate than a defensive pistol needs to be. To be more accurate than that you're looking at some type of custom 1911 or competition pistol that will compromise reliability. It will take you years and years to develop shooting skills that are superior to the accuracy of a glock/xd.

IMO Glock or XD is he way to go. I personally own a G23, XD9, and XD45. If the kick is more than what you want, that can be fixed. You can change some parts to get rid of much of the recoil. I think I am going to get some work done on my guns when I have a little cash to buy parts. My husband is a licensed gunsmith, so labor is free for me.

Military carries them because somebody high up said we have to. If I had it my way, it'd be glocks or xd's. A guns slide shouldnt be the majority of it's weight. Talk about unneccesary recoil.
