I've got skunks that ruin my yard. I don't really want to shoot them close to my house. But I'm sure as hell not picking up a live trap with one of them bastards in it.

shoot them.......leave the bodies around the perimeter as a reminder to other skunks.......

Yeah that's the only thing I don't like about mine...it sounds like a .22 being fired when it goes off.

I see them every couple days during the summer. Came face to face with one in the dark last summer. I was only about 5 feet away when I noticed him. My dog has been within a foot of one through the fence. She was barking like crazy and the skunk just looked at her. All the wild animals know my pets can't get past the fence so they taunt them like crazy. The squirrels will sit on the big rocks right behind the fence and eat seeds while the cats sit there and watch.
