Looks like an H2, don't the H3's have different wheel wells? They stick out more I think.

Can you transport a vertical air compressor horizontally? I know some of them have weird oiling systems.

 

All the newer ones should be oil free. My 33 gal Craftsman is.

 

im reading a lot of good reviews about craftsman. Do you guys leave yours powered on 24/7?

 

I don't. My drain valve leaks so it would run every couple hours. I just power it up when I want to use it. Maybe every couple weeks. I need to put a new drain valve on it some day. Mine is about 10 years old and still going strong.

 

I drain my craftsman quite often and don't leave it plugged in. I don't want a rust problem from water condensation.

 

even if you drain it every time, its still wet in there. like becky hahaha

 

I leave mine on all the time, and the tank pressure is between 120 and 150. I wonder if that lead to its failure at just 1 year old.

 

Shouldn't. It has a check valve. I also only run mine when I need it and open the valve when i am done. Got in the habit when I worked at a tire shop. First thing to do in the morning: Close the valve and fire up the compressor, last thing to do at night: Shut it off and open the valve. I'm with Scoot on this one.

you definitely need to drain it now and then. but unless you circulate dry air through there for a half hour, its still gonna be wet in there. you gotta figure that most of the surface area inside the tank doesnt get much airflow even with the drain and everything else open
