I just got laid..
Re: I just got laid..
on one hand it is hard to **** up hand tools.
on the other hand, did you see how shitty my compressor was? If they'll put their name on that, what wouldnt they put their name on?
Re: I just got laid..

Same **** the $20 brake levers on ebay are made from.
Re: I just got laid..

A set similar to this is great to start with and then you just add the misc **** that you need as you go along. And like I said, eventually my plan is to replace this bs set with some good tools but I dont wanna start doing that til I get a decent tool box. I got everything crammed into a tiny little box and its a huge mess.
Re: I just got laid..
Yo what I would get if I were you is a Husky set that has both 1/4" & 3/8" ratchet and sockets. Make sure you have extensions for both 1/4" & 3/8". You need a 6mm for your chain adjustment. I use 8mm on a bunch of different stuff. A lot of sets dont have 6 & 8mm so you might have to just buy those sockets seperately. For the big mamma jamma sockets - 18-whatever you're better off getting a 1/2" drive so just pick up a big *** ratchet - I got a flex head or "L" ratchet from craftsman with a long handle/bar coz you might need some muscle on some of them bigger bolts. Something like this:

And I would also pick up a set of the bigger sizes - from 18 - 36 or 37 I think is the max we need on the F4i's. I could double check the size if you want. Get some metric gear wrenches like this:

Get some allen keys like this coz you could put the allen key inside the handle and it gives you extra leverage:

But I also got hex sockets which are good to have coz sometimes it a pain in the *** just using allen keys:

With the hex keys I think I got 5,6,8,9,10,12 but I can double check. You definitely want 5 coz thats the size of the vortex clip ons and I think I use the 6 a lot as well. An adjustable wrench and you're pretty much good to go. From there you can add on as you go along. Now I'll continue reading and see if anyone else broke it down for you lol.

Re: I just got laid..
Good point. I have a lot of the smaller sockets but nothing metric that is big enough to even put a cage on. ****, I can't even get the frame sliders off my gixxer with the tools I currently have. I'd rather not buy a full set, but would like to buy a few smaller decent sockets. Mike already gave me a list of common ones I should need, but I don't think 18 is big enough for my sliders. I need a 22 and a 27 off the top of my head, but any idea what size sockets bullshit ebay no cut frame sliders would take? How about an a-town cage, and your subcage since I plan on buying one down the line since I'm a fat ****? I guess I'll just go to Lowes.
I didnt see this post lol. Soooo you know what you need to buy skippy. If you want me to check sizes on any of the sockets I got and use on the regular for the F4i - lemme know and I'll check it out for you
Re: I just got laid..
Save your receipts though lol. Joejoe broke my 1/4" drive ratchet and it was a pain to get home depot to replace it. Only reason it broke was coz we were out at the spot and he was using a 1/4" drive ratchet on something that it shouldnt have been used for - he was putting a lot of pressure on that little thing and the piece that the socket snaps into just snapped right off. I guess thats to be expected trying to use it on a big job but the moral is - save your receipts lol.
Re: I just got laid..
Word - I dont even want anything so fancy but I need something a little bigger to accommodate **** and not be such a mess. One of these days. Its not high on my list of priorities right now. I wanna start looking on craigslist coz I might be able to find a decent used one which I'd pick up if it were cheap.
Re: I just got laid..
+1 I rarely use the allen keys anymore but thats bad also lol. I've stripped a bunch of screws coz I overtightened using the hex keys when I shoulda just made it hand tight with an allen key. Like the gas cap bolts. 1 tiny turn too much and snappppppp. Those things should only be hand tightened with an allen key. I learned the hard way lol
