12-year-old Stafford boy killed in ATV accident
A 12-year-old boy was killed Sunday while riding an all-terrain vehicle in eastern Stafford County's Marlborough Point neighborhood, according to Sheriff Charles Jett.
The boy, whose name has not been released, was riding the vehicle at a friend's house about 2 p.m. when he tried to ride over a hill, Jett said yesterday.
The ATV flipped and landed on the boy, who was later pronounced dead at Mary Washington Hospital, according to the Sheriff's Office.
The boy, who was wearing a helmet, lives in the county's Brooke area, Jett said.
