try turning it over when youre trying to slip it in gear, kinda like when you got to roll your bike to get it to click in gear. i had an old one that was real bad about that, or try pulling in clutch

Re: neutral????????

if your bike won't go into neutral when it is running but when you shut it off it goes right in then your clutch has warped steels. If it won't go in to neutral easily even with the motor off then you have either a bent fork, a friction problem with a gear being burnt on to a shaft in your trans, or a worn detent star.

Re: neutral????????

hopefully it is just your clutch, that is the cheapest and easiest fix. Make sure your clutch adjustment is right also, not just at the bar but at the clutch release if there is another adjustment. I don't know if you have two adjustments, I didn't see what kind of bike the problem was with
