Re: Stunting in the Military

Also, if you want to be a stuntrider, then stick to it. If you don't want to join the military "if you can't stunt" then don't even go to the recruiters office. Men and women join the military to serve their country. If that is the one thing that is your deciding factor then just stay home. ESPECIALLY if you are thinking about the Corps, cus we don't want ya!

On a side note. I started stuntriding while I was active duty stationed in CA.

Re: Stunting in the Military

pretty sure if u get nailed doing 30 over and get the 1000 dollar fine u will get fucked in the *** anyways, I do not stop simple as that. no way in hell im about to forfeit my bike, then have to go through court. god forbid u miss work ( all that standing around and cleaning the paint off walls...) all the while the command is standing by take a pay grade and some restriction time... yea either way your command is gonna put u through the ringer. i wouldn't suggest you run, but i cant for 1 second think that any 1 here doesn't have a story about ripping the throttle wide open when they see some blue lights flare up to avoid a a ticket weather it be cutting lanes speeding stunting etc every 1's been there. especially if your ina group be that 1 guy who doesn't try to run and get the ticket for the team =]

DONT WASTE YOUR LIFE IN THE ARMY! THEYLL MAKE YOU JUMP THRU HOOPS JUST TO GO RIDING!

I sold my bike after 2 years in the military. They make it gay, but it all depends on your unit. Better bet is just not to waste away in the military!

You are also at a joint Service base right? A REAL base like a MajCom headquarters base isn't that easy to get away with

yea they never have to know but when u get no medical when u take a fall try explaining that to them... ( u got it all figured out) best to just say u have 1 do the hoops and at least be covered by tricare if u do crash. I guess u failed to read the dotted lines. but if u do not report owning a sport bike and do the courses, u are not covered by tricare, they can and will deny you coverage.

wow bro, are you saying not to waste your time riding in the military or just not waste your time in the military all together? either way, epic fail on your part. there are some laim precautions that need to be taken on any installation but they'll be to your advantage if **** hits the fan for whatever reason. i'm 6 years deep as a combat engineer (paratrooper) and i haven't wasted a single minute. if you chose an MOS that may have pertained to your personality better you probly would have been happier.

Damn, ima have to 2nd this guy. You guys have no idea what you're fucken talken about. You all are being close minded about the whole fucken thing. I've been in the marines for 4 years. The only way you will get in trouble in the military is if u get caught rocking wheelies down the streets (DUH!b!!!!!)

You won't fucken get in trouble if u keep it to the lots, you don't even need to tell your command, though if ur bike is street legal and u ride it to work I'm sure people will ask, just tell them the truth, but also make sure you state that everything you do is in a lot so you arnt breaking any laws, that is all they care about. If you fucken hurt urself they won't be pissed,u won't get in trouble unless you hurt yourself so bad you can't work like 3x or more, then they might be like alright wtf this is getting old. But that's it homie. Don't be a retard and do circles in the middle of an intersection or your *** is losing rank and getting fined in the military and by the local cops. Its common sense, if you have common sense you'll be fine, but honestly there are a lot of idiots without it in the military and always wonder why the **** they are getting in trouble. Your representing america, and the law, just like a police officer, u think ur guna take a ticket seriously if u just seen the cop rocking indo's down main street on his cruiser with his lights flashing like a fucken parade show? Same concept, you represent perfect discipline.

The military wants you to go out and have fun on ur free time, they want you to have badass hobbies, as long as it doesn't interfere with the law. It makes the military look that much better.

Re: Stunting in the Military

Let me say somethen else tho... I'm not sayen the military doesn't suck though, it has a lot of ups and downs. All in all its a pretty sweet experience though. I had my fun and am getting out in june. I've got unemployment insurance for 2 years which is 2 grand a month + the post 9/11 gi bill which pays me 2 grand a month also for 3 years to goto college full time. So I'm maken 4 G's for 2 years and I dun even have to work homie. What a hook up! Marijuanamerica here I come!

Re: Stunting in the Military

nah Mayport Fl is a small naval station as well. there's just so many sport bike riders, there is always some 1 getting seriously injured every week so they have like 0 tolerance for bs on bikes. literally 2 deaths and 1 serious injury this past week alone between NAS JAX and NS Mayport. my last CO found out what i was doing with my LIBERTY time and made me redo my basic course and told me i was not to talk with the junior guys looking to buy bikes so i would not RUB off on them. and the 30 over here is a felony its the same **** as rocking a wheelie or no license plate... if they do decide to arrest you you will be hit with the book by the CO. also if you are properly endorsed theres no reason to really have to lie but if people know u ride lots and stunt and are not endorsed good luck.... i was simply saying not being endorsed is a bad idea if u do end up rashed up. but heres a link to what the law is in Fl maybe cali is more leniant idk.
