just because a bike is geared does not indicate the miles are harder miles. stuntriding aside.

no but which one will have to be running UNDER A LOAD for a longer period of time?

The one only doing 60mph by about 33.3%... so it has worked 33.3% harder/more than the none geared bike to put on the same mileage...

well yes a geared bike doing 60 is under a greater load than a stock bike doing 60, but a geared bike doing 60 is under the same load as a stock bike doing 90.

i just completed a round trip to my dads house in park ridge nj from old bridge nj. its 52 miles. i gassed up before leaving, upon arrival, and upon return. i used 1.5 gallons on the way up and only 1.2 on the way back. 34 mpg on the way up and a whopping 43 mpg on the way back.
it was a little colder out and i was going slower cause theres mad cops.
and my bike is geared +8.
