Buying new bike, what models should I be looking at??

Buying new bike, what models should I be looking at?? Hey! I hate to be one of those guys that asks what bike to get haha but I need some input from people with experience to help make my decision.
I ride freestyle motocross and and more upright riding position is much more natural and enjoyable for me, on top of that I prefer not to have a 4 cylinder engine. My experience for road bikes is just a WR250X which I did a bit of stunting on but didn't get around to gearing it down, rear brake on bars etc.
I'm really interested in a Ducati Hypermotard for the torquey and relatively powerful engine for slightly longer rides, riding position, good components, not too physically large etc. Is this an ok choice?
Can anybody recommend me what bike to look at?
Any help is greatly appreciated
