Yes. Chasing the wheelie when learning idle is just gonna lead to some painful loop outs and you not learning the brake.
I think it's best to clutch up and not give it any more gas at all. Just focus on coming to a dead stop and clutching it up to the right height. Eventually you'll get it high enough and the idle will carry you back to the bar before you even can think about using the rear brake. You may drop it, you may save it, but it won't be a bad thing either way. Once you do that a few times you'll get a feel for when to press the brake, and start doing it. Once you start using the brake a little, you'll have to start working on side to side balance and small throttle inputs to keep it going.
I've written this out in more detail like a million times on SL now

last time i was leaving as you where pulling in....lolyou wont see much from me, other than maybe a couple slow straight line SS, foot in the bar, christ's....ect.... i suck, but it looked like you guys killed it last time few times!!!
im hoping on having the supermoto fully stunt ready by tomorrow and trying it out (i had it out once in the lot, but need to finish it up tonight)

the office staff is on a rotaing saturday schedule to cover dispatching on saturdays. its a pretty big family owned business and my brothers supposed to cover for me, but he's never done it. so i have to start of the day in the morning with him and then close out all the jobs late afternoon. so as long as he shows up..... i'll be there from about 11-3
