You might be right. While seated though, I still feel physically connected to the bike so I feel there is more control there.

 

Everybody feels that way at first. Put in a few days of practice staggered and you'll feel different.

I know 2 people right now selling bikes for 2g's. Rommel is selling his for 2g's - fully setup for wheelies. And then I got another one for 2g's never stunted so youd have to buy a cage at least.

What I'd do if I were you is put some bread (half or so) on one of these bikes that are going for so cheap and in a few weeks you could ride it home... No I'm not selling mine.. I'm just getting to know my baby... we went out last night

I was wondering this last night... Should my first "whack" on the throttle be enough to bring me up to balance point? Theoretically? After watching you guys and tons of videos, it doesn't seem like a gradual progression up to BP. It looks as if one sec you"re down... the next you're up.

 

Yes. Chasing the wheelie when learning idle is just gonna lead to some painful loop outs and you not learning the brake.

I think it's best to clutch up and not give it any more gas at all. Just focus on coming to a dead stop and clutching it up to the right height. Eventually you'll get it high enough and the idle will carry you back to the bar before you even can think about using the rear brake. You may drop it, you may save it, but it won't be a bad thing either way. Once you do that a few times you'll get a feel for when to press the brake, and start doing it. Once you start using the brake a little, you'll have to start working on side to side balance and small throttle inputs to keep it going.
