In 5 1/2 years on here I've never had to use it. Not once.

A Number to call your own - Use the same number at all WSRA event Worldwide. Numbers will be issued on a first
come first serve basis. This number will remain yours as
long as your membership to WSRA is in good standing.
The backing of a professional organization to help set standards and general procedures to help manage the stunt rider community.
how professional is getting to pick your own number?
Increased prize money. After the WSRA become fully established and accepted as "the" professional organization for stunt riders world wide, we will match all prize money awarded at WRSA endorsed events.

Power in numbers - Once WSRA membership reaches over 500 riders we will start using the size of or membership to shop for services, sponsers, and benifits like heath care and life insurance.
sounds to me like they have absolutely no financial backing and are counting on yours.
Since our event schedule is still being determined, we want you to know that by choosing your number today, you are under no obligation to pay at this time.This will entitle you to a no obligation 45 day holding period! Once our list of stops and pay schedule is posted, we will notify you by email to secure your number with your membership dues.
a lot of thought went into the business plan for this joint venture :YEAH

Number 01,1,13,16,7,77,
Teach and Kane must have already signed up
