Wsra Stepped Up!
WORLD STUNT RIDERS ASSOCIATION
(January 24,2008) In the world of stunt riding today riders have expressed an overwhelming demand for higher payouts and relief of financial strains related to competing. The founders of the World Stunt Riding Association (WSRA) decided to get together and give back to those who make our stunt community what it is today. Our riders!! The goal is to pay contending stunt riders according to their place standings at various stunt competitions nationwide. The only requirement to receive this contingency payout is for riders to become members of the WSRA, and they will be paid in addition to their winnings awarded from the events themselves.
Each rider must become a member by signing up at the events or on-line with the WSRA. Each rider will be permitted to select their rider number at sign up, in which they will be assigned for the entire duration of their membership. Member credentials will be given and members will be provided with competition information and schedules.
The goal of the WSRA is to reward riders for their dedication to the stunt riding industry. The WSRA will subsidize the financial demands on the professional riders, making it less strenuous by paying additional contingency payouts. With this program in place it will enable more riders to tour nationally and further advance their stunt riding careers. By eventually matching any stunt competitions payout amounts dollar for dollar, the WSRA will double the riders winnings across the board, and potentially enabling more riders to plan more competition stops to win more money. Also, as membership numbers grow, we will increase placements, payouts and event categories that will benefit from the contingencies of the WSRA. Upon reaching a predetermined number of members, the WSRA will launch an International contingency program paying purse allowances across the globe and further opening the doors for International riders to compete in the United States as members of an American based stunt riding association.
Dennis Pagalilauan, Jodie Smith, Jason Kissinger, and Donna St. Martin, all current players within the sportbike industry, and all with extensive business and marketing backgrounds, recognized the need for competition events to disburse larger rider payouts, and decided to do just that. By forming the WSRA and by giving back to and rewarding the riders for their hard work and dedication, WSRA hopes that the financial needs expressed by the riders will finally be met alleviating some of the financial strains on today’s riders.
By visiting WWW.WORLDSTUNTRIDERS.COM ON SUNDAY 1-27, the site will be unveiled at 10:00 A.M. for equal opportunity for all riders to get their number of choice! Riders can receive all of the membership information needed and will also be allowed to choose their rider identification number. Rider’s numbers are first come, first serve and will be assigned to its rider throughout the duration of their membership, while in good standing. Once your number is chosen, it’s gone! So sign up on Sunday, and don’t miss your opportunity to compete with your favorite number!!

Re: Wsra Stepped Up!
since everyone is calling and emailing me...
I am NOT a part of this and really have no "public" opinion on the matter
and this has nothing to do with the XDL Contingency program that we already have set up for the 2008 points series with various companies involved... that riders get to be a part of for free... just for riding in the series and using the products
last but not least.. this has nothing to do with the XDL numbering system.. which will not be first come first serve... but will be decided after the March 22nd finals..
You win 1st, you get 1st pick plus the number 1 plate, you get 2nd place you get 2nd pic.. etc. etc.
good luck with this other stuff...

Re: Wsra Stepped Up!
I aint the smartest cookie in the jar.. but, uhh aint this a compound sentence or something??
"WSRA hopes that the financial needs expressed by the riders will finally be met alleviating some of the financial strains on today’s riders."

Re: Wsra Stepped Up!
i had to google compound sentence HAHAHAman i'm rusty .. gotta head back to the schoolhouse soon
In the English language, a compound sentence is composed of at least two independent clauses, but does not need a dependent clause. The clauses are joined by a coordinating conjunction (with or without a comma), a correlative conjunction (with or without a comma), or a semicolon that functions as a conjunction.
for others
a lot of words ending wtih (tion) in that definiTION
Re: Wsra Stepped Up!
what dont you get
???they are hoping to alleviate some of the finacial needs expressed by the riders, buy charging them money to compete in events, makes perfect sense.
that sentence reminds me of (clicky here)>>>>> http://video.aol.com/partner/hulu/in...hW7WZ57vlIBr7f
Re: Wsra Stepped Up!
Thomas is it possible for the businesses already interested in getting this together to work cooperatively with XDL in forming the sanctioning body? Maybe you could have the organizers of this address concerns, change things if need be, according to the wishes of the riders (as expressed by their union rep*cough*) and possibly bring these efforts to the table as a cooperative? The people involved check out so far, it would be great to see people working together to contribute to the sport and not struggling for power.
This seems like a valuable contribution and something that would help me a lot in marketing. in case I'm just eager to have this valuable tool to sell riders with, I'll hold back a bit and wait to hear what the riders say.
Out of curiosity are you already having all stunt event organizers cast a vote in the points ranking system etc, voting on rules and ethics and all the stuff involved in a pro sport?
Because there certainly shouldn't be two sanctioning bodies. and everyone should favor a cooperative so as to avoid a monopoly - because a monopoly would set the entire sport back by making it look smaller than it is.

Re: Wsra Stepped Up!
simple question, why would you try to have one NEW governing body with a man at the helm that doesnt really seem to have been around a long time where there is already one setup with someone thats earned the respect and trust of the stunt community

Re: Wsra Stepped Up!
Are you saying like an Exhaust supplier paying $500 if the winner of an event used their pipe or a helmet company paying out $1000 if the winning rider wore their helmet?
Without the riders paying in?
In exchange the suppliers get the rewards competitors buying their product in hopes of winning and reap the rewards of added exposure.
What a cool idea.

Re: Wsra Stepped Up!
Not trying to start anything but isnt your last statement an oxymoron? You said there shouldnt be two sanctioned
bodies, but you want to avoid a monopoly at the same time...which is it?

this is going to get interesting.
