Right now im riding a 100% legit bike...but... im planning to get a totaled bike (for the paperwork) buying a stolen complete bike... swap numbers... and finally cut the totaled bike (now with the stolen numbers) in 999 pieces, put it on a 200 liter tank, fill up with concrete and dump ii into the nearest river...

Lame I know. but it's the truth...

 

i ride legit bikes. the whole theft ring gets me in a snarl...as i'd hate to have my bikes taken from me. i just wouldn't feel right being on a stolen bike. though i might buy a bike that doesn't have a title...but it's a track bike...and i don't know it's life cycle...so...who knows. what i don't know won't hurt me, right? it'd just be a play bike for me anyway, so it wouldn't be an issue with the law..

well, purchasing stolen property weather you know it or not, is still illegal...
The ignorant are not exempt from the law...

Now I personally wouldn't ride a stolen bike, but what if I know of some people who do ride stolen bikes... am I just as guilty because i turn my head? would you guys hate on me for KNOWING who has stolen bikes??

well now, i'm saying i honestly don't know the history of it. he said something about it's an unstamped frame - that the motor was dropped in (but even he doesn't know the whole story...other than that). it was a bike built for track days... so really, i don't know where the frame or the motor came from, but i'm thinking heck, no VIN = no way to even find out, right? i'm really not into owning anything that was stolen from anyone. geez, i stole a $2 ring back in jr. high and felt SO guilty, i threw the thing away. that's the only thing i've ever stolen...other than the occasional pen that ends up in my purse upon assumption of it being one of my own..
