Re: Buying a Truck...any advice?
07 Dodge Ram 1500 Hemi here
I love this truck. I get decent mileage to a tank for a guzzler, and mostly do highway, and as of 06 the truck with hemi motor has that cylinder-deactivation system so it runs on 4 cyl when less power is needed... if it's doing any real difference i dunno, but it's a sweet rig with loads of power on tap
I was thinking of getting a diesel, but I hate the loud engines. I drove an F350 diesel for a while and it's like driving a f-in tractor.

Re: Buying a Truck...any advice?
Man i sell trucks for a living, I deal with this every day. The best truck on the market are the toyota for sure. The only downfall is that for the same money you can get a newer domestic pickup. Depending on whether you are going to pull a trailor or jus load it in the back. If you are pulling a trailor alot the diesel will get better meilage but cost more initally. If you are loading in the back, buy like a mid ninties tacoma or T100 still gonna be like 10G's but last you for probably the rest of you life.
