Second gear 929 clutch?

Well i sold the r6 and got a 929 right as the season was ending. I tried bouncing it up in second. I always thought i was getting it high enough to ride out but all the locals said it was only a foot or two at the most. Then one night out of anger i hit the balance point. It feels SO high. Definatley a scary feeling. I dont like the way it comes up all jerky and awkward when you bounce it. I know you can bounce a 929 in second and even third gear. I think i should try clutching it up just to see if it's not as wierd for me.

So i was just curious about what speed and rpm do you use to bring up a second gear standup.

And also do you standup and then clutch it or do you clutch it and then standup. I know this again is a personal preference but just looking for opinions.

My crew and I have 929s For a second gear try running 60mph at 6000rpm (stock) It will come up nice and slow Then you pull it back farther and slow it down. 929s do have a wierd c/g but you get used to it in time. If it starts to wobble just drop the nose a hair then bring it back up. Hope that helps

generally, clutching it up makes you feel more confident of your wheelies than whacking the throttle open

Yeah..... I suppose your right there. Everyone said how great the 929 is to stunt but i felt more confident on the r6. I suppose i just have to tame the beast.

bone stock i learned second gear, bring it up to about 6 grand, pull in the clutch and give it some gas and let out, came right up.

most important thing, practice. that's the only way you are going to get better, there is no other secret.

Re: Second gear 929 clutch?

I wheelie mine in any gear, any speed, any rpm on any surface for any given amount of time. :YEAH To answer the question though i like to clutch it up in second at about 35 mph.
