04 636 fuel light flashing

Any idea what causes the fuel light to flash constantly? It still comes on and stays on when the fuel level is low.

Think it could have something to do with a pinched vent or something?

Thats what the guys on kawiforums said back when it first started, so I swapped in another fuel pump and it still flashes.

I was wondering if that could be it. My gauge cluster is cracked in the back, so it is possible that something got messed up in there.
