Re: Removing ignition on 636

i sold a 600rr ignition to one guy and the front end to another and i drilled the heads off and used vise grips to get the rest of the bolts out and there was so much loctite that the vise grips almost didn't do the job....

but then the guy who bought the front end asked me to get his ignition off of his tripple and i just hit them like three times with a chissel to loosen them and then they twisted right out with a flat head that fit inside the security bit.......so you never know till you get in to it.....

if you drill them use a drill press and go as slow as you can and like some one said use alot of oil ..drilling them by hand is possible but will be a *****

Re: Removing ignition on 636

I just took an ignition out of a 636 two days ago. Another member on this board watched me do it. Dremel tool and a flat screwdriver is all I used. BTW I don't smoke dope or cigarettes. Don't be pissed you have been doing it the hard way. I offered an easier solution. There was no need to be a ******* about it.

Re: Removing ignition on 636

Re: Removing ignition on 636

Yeah there is blue thread lock on the bolts. I'm just saying I did it and have proof of someone watching me do it. Maybe I got lucky, hell I don't know what the deal is but it worked. Thanks for not being an a$$ like the other guy.
