How does one know when the carbs need to be cleaned? I ride normal and havent had it done. Has about 10k miles. Takes a while to warm up and be able to twist the throttle and not stall out. Newish spark plugs... Is that the indicator for carbs? What are the indicators the carbs need to be cleaned?

 

Depends If the Bike Sits For a Period Of Time Or Is Always Being Ridin..

Back In MN I cleaned them Ever 2 yrs.......Maybe Overkill But I never
had Problems......

Now I live In Cali. I havn't Done Them Yet (Ride Year Round)

 

get them synch'd if u don't let the bike sit then most likely its A o kay! (not dirty), don't be afraid to change the plugs ever 6-8k either..
