steering dampeners

I have a 02 f4i the cheapest dampener i can find is 400 bucks. I'm starting to get better at 2nd gear standups, but i would feel a lot better with a dampener on the bike. I tend to pull on the bars when i give it throttle while bringing it up kind of scary. thats why i like sitdowns better. But i guess i could just quit being a ***** and not pull on the handle bars so much anyway does anybody know where to get cheap dampeners thanks in advance

Re: steering dampeners

if ur tugging on the bars so hard u need a damper to keep it from slapping when u launch them u need to use the clutch or use it more..

Re: steering dampeners

I am using the clutch. sorry i was not very clear at all im at work kind of busy. to better explain i stagger my feet right foot on driver peg left on passenger i roll about 45mph i have stock gearing I throttle till probably seven grand let out on the clutch and give a little more throttle when i give it that little more throttle before im more than six inches up off the ground is when i pull the right side of the handle bars towards myself. After this it still comes up a little bit i get pussed out straiten out the handle bars and set it back down. I know if i had the dampener on there i would not worry so much about coming down sideways and i would be able to give it more throttle and rock higher wheelies. any advice will be great. also i think i have to much weight on the front end when i am in the stand up position. and that contributes to the sideways handlebars
