rear is too low
rear is too low
hey ppl, I just got an 01 f4i and had my bike loaded on my pickup with my friends 02 f4i right next to it and noticed his tail is alot higher than mine...what gives? is there any adjustments on the shock or compresser(not sure what it's called) I need to make? or is the shock just shot? I asked him what he did to his and he said he got it that way. I'd like it to be higher so let me know...thanks,
Re: rear is too low
Like the other guy said he may have dog bones on it, i believe you can also adjust the ride height on the stock shock, there should be a tool that came in the tool kit with the box that allows you to adjust the ride height.
Re: rear is too low
Adjust the preset sag on the suspension.
My F4 sits 2 1/2 inches higher than most F4i's. My guess is because I messed with the sag and everyone else didnt.

Wrong pic... ^^^^
Here is the adjustment you can move to raise/lower the bikes tail. If you have your tool kit, use the "C" lookin one to adjust. If not, get a hammer and a screw driver.

Re: rear is too low
same thing happened to my buddys compared to mine, sat like 3-4 inches lower, took a bit to figure out but it ended up being the two plates that are attached to the shock and dogbone. Mine which is the correct height would shoot back and up, his which was way lower would shoot straight back only.
I dont think adjusting the shock is really going to effect it very much, you need tto check those plates out and measuer the dogbone, very easy when you have another to compare it to
