Handle bar brakes on Motha F'n LOCK DOWN!

Let me start of by saying. WOW! I did over a 1/4 mile long flamingo in 1st gear, low idle just creeping. Thanks to having a hand brake for the rear brake on the handlebars.

Handlebar wheelies have been brought to a new level. I can do those slow speed, near idle and creep them for as long as i can find space. 12 o'clock then & put them back down (not 100% perfected yet - weird scraping while ur on the bars).

Standing on the seat, you can move you body and steer in between stuff going down the street. **** is off tha hook. You guys gotta try it out.

I need a Mini DV video camcorder to get good video's, my digital camera has the shittiest zoom in town.

It is the bomb diggity dude. I just had it out again infront of my house showing off my my girl & some of my boys. Creeped down 1/2 my street in a handle bar wheelie. Did my entire street standing on the seat at prob 3 mile per hour. I was down UPS industial park today, doing the road standing on the seat. Everyone is like WHAT THE ****! "how arn't you flipping backwards! " can't tell those haters all my secrets.

ZAN, I'll help you do that bar brake if you need - i got it down pat. Good luck w/ the banshee. I didn't **** w/ my front brakes yet cause I didn't want to get in a bind where I coudln't ride today. Im gonna start w/ it tomorrow. Gonna try it w/ the R1 master cylinder vs. mine. see what rips the tires up.

Im gonna go in my garage & take some pics of how I have the levers. It works mint how i have em now. Brb

that looks real nice cant wait to try it out i spread the secret to 1 dude in my group and he cant wait to build one. i mean this kid can already do 3rd gear flamingos without flippin. but sweet ill have it setup before my engine is back. ohhh the banshee problem was a routing problem with the throttle cable all i have to do is take the throttle off and re run it a different way so i didnt even have to pay for it. SWEEEEETT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ill be in touch

A free fix is a good fix!

I try to tell as little non stunters as i can about my secret brake. Keeps em guessing. They've never seen someone ride 11:30 on the bars down the road clapping thier feet together.

3rd gear flamingo's? damn that **** must be FAST as hell. I was trying some more no handed wheelies. wow that **** is hard.

Yo Zan... you got an AIM account I can hit you at? im always online wasting time.

Re: Handle bar brakes on Motha F'n LOCK DOWN!

Dang this was an old post...

But for the handbrake, I think people sometimes are using bicycle lever, perch and cable. Just mount the perch and lever on the handlebar on the clutch side, or brake side if you prefer. Run the cable down along the triple clamp, down the frame to by the brake pedal. You'll need to fab a bracket to hold the cable. You'll also need to drill a hole in the pedal and run a bolt or something through it to hold the other end of the cable. The bracket you fab will need to hold the cable so that it pulls the pedal down when you pull in in the brake lever. Hope this isn't too confusing and maybe helps some.

Re: Handle bar brakes on Motha F'n LOCK DOWN!

ok i understand the idea of everything but the bracket to fab up will be kinda tricky. hell the rest of the parts i prolly got layin around here or on an old bike.

anybody got any pics of their bracket they made to pull the pedal downward?
i just need an idea to kinda see what it needs to look like.
