wheelies??

been trying wheelies all weekend long ever since i bought the little five Oh, and i was wondering what technique you guys are using to pull those super long ones?? Do i have to learn brake control? Are you guys throwing it up then catching it on the rear brake. Or is it all balance, and no need for rear brake? I have been basically rolling in second kinda slow then juicing it and leaning back,, and she goes up, but it seems like a thin line between looping and too low,, so maybe i'm missing something.

Also if your going slow with out any throttle, then hit the gas,,, do your bikes kinda jolt?? i have noticed that i can't just snap the throttle on like my big bike... is this normal, the jolty feeling??

Glad to see another person joining the XR fiddy crew!!!
heres the deal get on an old pair of shoes. second gear, drag your feet behind you and let it rest at balance point. use your feet to balance yourself at first after a day or 2 of that and pull your feet up to the pegs you will be so used to the balance point you wont even know thier up on the pegs. Then try it in 3rd gear, but after your used to second. Thats how I got used to doin bangers on the sik 50!!! give it some time and youll be used to it. and yes they can be jerky at times check your chain tension and maybe lube it also, if that dont work get back on here and ask again, theres enuf of us in here with them that someone will know.
PS check it out

this is where I get my aftermarket parts at, really good stuff!

wheelieman,,

you got me a bit confused........ drag your feet behind you? what do you mean? should i be draging my feet with the ground hitting the top of my foot or the bottom? And i'm assuming your doing this draging while in motion?

heres a pic........... are either of these right....... i'm at work, so i can't go try this $hit,,, just thought i would be sure, so when i got home i could bust out.........

what ever it takes to learn

just like the real pic, just let the feet drag and it helps to keep the balance, or your pic #1. As for dude tellin you not to listen to me, WHATEVER, cause it never hurts to ask how to learn something, and all I did was tell him how I have taught alot of my friends to do wheelies on XR's

So if you find it easy to learn them my way, fantastic, if you learn another way, fantastic, just as long as you figure it out homie.

I think that is a great idea how to learn. IMHO on a fiddy, you have to learn to flip it first then learn break control. The footdrag will teach you where it flips vs balance pt.

Its all good YO, the thing is, we all need to stick together and not f@#k around with each other. The more peeps we can get interested in ridin and stunt ridin and new members on this forum the better it is for the sport and the better it is to get stunt riding recognized as a "real sport" just like all the other extreme sports.
Me personally, I am in it to get others into it.
