929 with your idle on high
929 with your idle on high
BTW....I havent taken the tank off to mess with it because i still been able to rock stuff well, but just for the fun of it, i'd like to know if anyone else has bumped into the same problem my 929rr seems to have with the idle turned up....if i turn the idle up above 2700 RPM's or so...the thing will bang on high idle when i clutch it up (hang up in the 6000 revs range) so I have to set up real hard on the brake or i'm smashing hard into the subframe...it's real tricky to do because it revs so hard so i have to clutch it up, step on the brake hard until the revs drop down (which takes anywhere between 2-10 seconds) then the second the revs drop, i have to feather off the brake real smooth like or the thing comes slammin down...now when you get the whole thing working, it looks like it's all going down smooth...but it is really alot of extra work you have to do so you can't take the time to bust out any cool variations because it all goes down random like...once the revs drop, they stay pretty normal....i don't know...I am ussually the answer guy, but i'm throwin this question out to you all because i figure someone else has to have delt with the same problem so maybe someone could save me some time...THANKS FOR THE HELP!

Yeah, you need to do the second idle adjuster cable mod. Basically get another idle cable from a 900rr, 600rr, or other cbr etc. and screw it into the middle screw on the throttle bodies. Just search for something like 929 idle mod and something will probably pop up.
