dude... the area i need to dent inward is raised up like 1" off the tank and is in a circle. Go buy an F2 tank and dent it in for me... if you succeed ill pay you 100 bux for it.

Re: Undented Tanks

my old tank is kinda... beyound repair because there is a piece on the inside of the tank thats virtually impossible to get at with JB weld that also broke off its got a hard line attached to it.

I didnt care about little dents or chipping the paint because it was goin to get bondo'ed and painted anyway.

The tanks in question are reinforced in the middle, thats why they're hard to bend. I dont think heating up the outside of the tank will do much in this case.

Wish i woulda known this befor i even tried to dent it.

I also have 2 small leaking areas up near the front of the gas tank 2 little circles about 1 inch away from eachother... so im guessin theres reinforcement up there as well.

Re: Undented Tanks

when i first started doing tank wheelies a few years ago,the tank was stock ,but after i dented it they feel more comfotrtable ,i used a hard rubber mallot ,then put jbweld over any cracks, creases, then i brang it to a linex shop and had that truck bed liner sprayed on , works fine but sometimes leaks out the top when full, had to silicone
