This is for the 929rrs

I usually build my own 12 bar, but I'm feeling lazy. I like the way they look, very clean looking.

Who has one and loves it.

Any dislikes, hold up very well.

Hardware that is provided hold up good, never brake any bolts?

Can anyone beat 115.00 shipped for it.

You should see my current bar, weighs in about 30 pounds.

 

I used to rock homemade bars on my '02 Geez 1000. Trying to save a little money. But i gave in as soon as i got my erion. After using the F.I bar, i wished i would have broke down earlier and bought one for the Geez. The bar scrapes so much smoother and they are sturdy as hell.

The only problem i had was going out of my way and having the bar shortend and re-angled.

my brother has one on his 929 and he had to shorten it a little bit. when you order it just see if you can get it a little shorter than they normally make it.

 

Those 929 bars from FI are a ***** because you have to shorten them. You have to cut them and reweld em to shorten them too because of the way they are shaped. Call tim and see if he can get you something other than the street squid bar. Those stock FI bars are straight booty.

 

how much did you guys shorten it by, an inch or so?

suppose you cant just mount it a little further down the subframe cause the angle would be messed up.

 

i don't know if you could or not i think you should be able to you would just have to bolt the 2 bolts (closest to the front of the bike) a litte lower to get the angle you want....

like i said mine seems to be a lilte long but after standing it up i think it is rite where it needs to be

 

Agree. I got a 954 and I been emailing Tim to make a shorter bar. No luck. I had the FI bar for the past yr. but if he don't make one shorter. I'm gonna buy 905's.

 

i love my fi bar you just have to take a inch a half off and its perfect i love mine

 

I had to cut almost 4 inches off for mine to sit at perfect 12.

 

guess he f*cked up tha 929 bars cuz i got one on my yamaha and my boy had one on his r6 and our **** sit perfect
