high beams cut out

When I ride street I usally use my high beams. Last week they cut out popping the fuse. I replaced the fuse, started my bike and the fuse popped again. I took all the fairings, gas tank off and looked for a live wire, nothing could be found. I change the bulbs and sockets, still the fuse pops whenI hit high beams. What am I missing?

All bulbs work. Even the high beams for a few short seconds, but they die out pretty quick.

Re: high beams cut out

same thing on mine....

I took the switch apart and i found out the contacts werent fully contacting because of all the grease the factory put in there. I wiped all the grease out (dont lose the tiny [tiny] little spring) and its good as new.
