Tire Pressure

So I have been reading and I understand how a lower tire pressure will help keep your bike stable from side to side. Will it also help with bringing up the front? I checked mine and its 36. I read in the sticky that a good all around pressure is 18-20. Will this allow more grip?

Re: Tire Pressure

I dont post here ever because Im no where near the caliber of stunters in this forum. Dropping pressure will not help you bring the front up. One side note, running that low pressure do not expect to go from rockin whoolies to riding the twisties, it feels like the bike is walking all over the road. Technically yes it will allow more grip, you have a bigger contact patch.

Re: Tire Pressure

Like he said you're not going to be hitting turns with that low of a tire pressure. I don't think it really helps with grip it just makes the bike more stable on idle..

Re: Tire Pressure

It helps somewhat to bring it up for the less experienced rider because you get a wider contact patch which will allow for more error when clutching it up. Less tire spin and a little easier to get it in the air. Other than that, yes its just the stability at slow speeds.

Re: Tire Pressure

Seat time will help you with your grip while clutching it up... Not Psi... Get out there and do it over and over you will figure it out.

Re: Tire Pressure

IT WILL HELP FOR LEARNING STRAIT WHEELIES BUT WILL KILL YOU IF UR TRYIN CIRCLES. I HATE LOW AIR PRESSURE IT MAKES THE BIKE FEEL LIKE IT WANTS TO DROP THE FRONT END OFF IDLE, LIKE IM RIDIN THE BREAK OR SOMETHIN. JUST GO OUT THERE AND EAT **** A FEW TIMES YOU WILL GET IT DOWN

Re: Tire Pressure

36 psi right here, my riding is much better now, low pressure def blocked my progress in the past, I feel balance point much better now and the bike is easier to steer of course.
