help me setup my 10
Re: help me setup my 10
more powerful(which isnt always good for stunting) and less forgiving. Geared 600 will give you higher rpms at low speed and prevent stalling and be smoother than the 1000. Plus 600's in general can be lighter and easier to maneuver. A stock 1000 will die if you try to go slow and dont know how to use clutch(which will take you time). When they die it hurts and tears up your bike. A geared 1000 is just a bad idea for someone learning. 1000's are good for the street though, but that just gets you in trouble or killed. Trust me, I know.
If you like the 1000 keep it and use it, but you wont progress as fast as you could. Then when you realize a 600 is better later on you wasted a lot of time and money on a 1000 and will have to get used to a whole new bike. Just speaking from experience. Get a beater lot 600 for $1500 and keep your 1000 as a nice street ride.
Its all up to you in the end though.
