BEST HB setup??
BEST HB setup??
What's the best HB setup in your opinion? Please give all the details you can so I can upgrade my setup, brand - mm of master, brand and # of pistons of caliper, brake line, etc....
I have a decent setup right now with a dual bracket, running a 05 636 master and 04 gsxr caliper, but I'd like a little better performance
POST UP your setups!

Re: BEST HB setup??
also...are there any bigger rotors that bolt up to the 04-05 gix? I've tried searching and heard that some guys used busa rotors but didn't include if they bolted right up or not...I plan on fabricating my own dual bracket, but need a rotor to base it off of, any ideas?
Re: BEST HB setup??
The reason people hate GSXR's are cause they cant hang with them....they dominate EVERYTHING SUKKA
and I could give you all and any info but here is a hint its DEF not busa rotors as they will not fit...LOLOLOL

Share your knowledge and help a fellow Gixxer rider out! I've had this bike for years and plan on keepin it for about 2 more
Re: BEST HB setup??
04-05 and 06 07 calipers were hit or miss/junk and not really good...I would look for using a newer 08 and up ebay radial master or if you can afford a Brembo 19RCS is SIKK...the 09 gsxr 1000 calipers are the best money can buy next to the 06 and Up R6 calipers which are both MONOBLOCKS and they best below 1200 Brembo calipers.....those will give you the most bang for your buck front or rear setup and also lines....dual Hohey or other bracket and you will Probably get too much after this but...

Good info man! Would you suggest getting a bigger rear rotor though, or just go with 08 or newer rotor?
Re: BEST HB setup??
Rear rotor size isn't going to help......I would be more concernd with its condition and the pads being used than size....stock will work fine just make sure its not glazed over and over heated cause they warp and will be shitty no matter what. Put a good crosshatch in on them and some good pads and check that tey are true and stright and KILLL IT

Re: BEST HB setup??
Well its not really a big deal of using all GSXR or Yami parts toghether but building a system that works the best for your needs and wants... As for racing you want a good stiff leaver and no fade at all....so its more about just getting the best bang for your buck type thing. and with the 16X18 thing its more 18mm its the ratio of bore in the piston that pushes the fluid to push the caliper pots out.Bigger the piston and bore more fluid and push it gives... this too may make a bit more sence
19RCS master
18mm and 20mm ratios, with the RCS-Ratio Click System you can change from one configuration to another, allowing for different riding characteristics. Red spot on the eccentric adjuster means 18mm position while black spot identifies 20mm position. This solution makes it possible to adapt to different braking conditions, dry or wet, more or less grip, for use on the track or on the street. It is virtually is like having two different master cylinders in one.

It all makes sense now, wow! Thanks a lot for all the input bud!
Re: BEST HB setup??
It makes sence that a bigger rotor would have better stopping power...so what do you suggest, just getting a solid setup with stock rotor, or upgrade to a big rotor? If you suggest the big rotor do you know any compatable with the 04-05 gix?
Re: BEST HB setup??
and BTW 99% of people who Race use OEM stock size Rotors FYI and they actually use only about 80% of the true stopping power...there is no Real benifit to buying a Pizza pan front rotor its overkill and no help FYI>>>
He is asking about the Rear Rotor.....and yes you are right but who and where in the world HAS a larger DIA rear break rotor for a GSXR...you gonna convert it and throw a front one on there just cause its going to work better or run a dual caliper set up????? The time and effort is a waste and isnt going to help is what I was saying......so unless you got some pics I would have to say
and NOand a Really good 19RCS MC gives much more stopping power and feel then stockers any day and prob would be too much for a handbrake set up>>>>>

Re: BEST HB setup??
So, a 06 gsxr 600 Race bike is Diff from a 06 gsxr 600 Stunt bike......HMMMMMMMMMM HOLY **** thanks Dude

Stunters are so freeking smart....your right on one thing "There isn't anymore point to arguing this " LOLOLOLOL
Im out have fun retrofitting a front rotor on the back of your GSXR and post pics cause I will need a Good laugh at some point...
Re: BEST HB setup??
i saw on stuntride that "iii" makes a big rotor kit. i'm assuming they custom make the rotor, but any knowledge of any larger rotors that will bolt right up??!
