Re: clutching it up

Clutching - the only way.

Standups feel weirder cause your higher and the bike should goes up high. Also I used to always get that feeling like I'm falling way to far backwards. Just get the sitdowns perfect and then slowly (while in a sitdown wheelie) begin to pull your **** off the seat. That's kinda how I learned. Except I kept on getting scared and bringing the bike down.

Just practice!

i found the only way to learn it was to attempt it until i got it right.. the first time i tried a staggered it felt ilke the bike was trying to buck me off but all you gotta do is practice like cisco said.. theres no easy button for stunting you just gotta do it

Re: clutching it up

man i have a 2005 zx6r with 636cc displacement and it has a 60tooth rear sprocket,

I cant stop the bucking, I can give it gas, cut the gas, give it gas and cut it then give it alot of gas and it comes up like a breeze of bucking donkeys!?!?..

how do i make it smooth to where it doesn't buck?!?!? would a full exhaust system with a finely tuned power commander III USB dyno tuned and have my engine blue printed and balanced and 360 degree valve job with minor milling oh the head with smaller head gasket get rid of the bucking?

im running out of ideas here, i thought the 60tooth sprocket was to make wheelies easy and my talent better?!?!?

Re: clutching it up

This is what I did.. Start off slow just like you did when you were sitting down.. Im sure you did the basic "instinct"

Grab clutch.. Give it a lil. "LITTLE" GAS" - pop it up.. add more and repeat steps untill it gets high

Do the same on stand ups.. It scares the **** out of me. but every time it comes up it feals so good it gives you that much confidence..

I would refuse to clutch up stand ups until this summer when I got parking lot stand ups down.. im still battling with my new subframe

havent installed a left peg on it.. so i feal awkward

Re: clutching it up

just rock sitdowns... and do as one post suggested, slightly raise off the seat during a sitdown and see how you feel.

Re: clutching it up

Try a foot on the seat. Just keep the speed down or it will get all wobbly.

yeah i have tried that, and i am ok at it with my right foot on the seat, but thats not what i want. When i put my left foot on my seat i get a sideways and that so i guess i will have to practice.

Re: clutching it up

I used to do knee-up wheelies, with my left leg up on the seat and right foot on the brake. That was actually pretty easy.
