Gearing Advice

Hey whats up im new to the stunt life and i have been trying to decide what gears to run i just recently installed a dynojet jet kit along with a 15t front i would like to change the rear sprocket also but i want to keep the bike streetable but i would like to be able to stand it up much easier without having to clutch it so hard. Its a 93 zx7 and weighs 430lbs dry so shes a fat girl. i was thinking about going down to a 14 in the front and seeing how that helps but any advice on the gearing would be much appreciative thanks. Re: Gearing Advice

Learn first, then start gearing.

Re: Gearing Advice

your not lacking power whats happening is your not at bp so your reving the **** out of the bike. clutch it high enough catch with brake and feed a constant throttle while tapping rear break and you will be able to do it fo miles!!! and concentrate on bein smooth because once you dip down you using all that throttle to get it back up then you let off and it will go back down and its a vicious cycle like alcoholism

Re: Gearing Advice

If you can clutch it up then gearing isnt your problem. Your problem might be not complete confidence in the rear brake so you dont get high enough. Learn the brake, then its just a matter of going higher and higher till your at one speed or slowing down some. Practice practice practice. Clutch it up and stay on the gas, but be prepared to use the brake....
