Aight i know stand-ups are a must for riding out LONG wheelies, but how's sit-downs for jus learning throttle and rear brake control for beginners??

you can learn either way, sit downs tend to accentuate lack of throttle control (side to side wobble) when you are learning. It is easier to counter that when you're standing.

Everyone has their own learning style / preferances. What I have seen, if you learn sitting down, stand ups will come much easier.
