oil starvation? and second gear wheelie frustration

whats good yall.i just recently upgraded my 84 interceptor 500 to a 2k1gixxer1000 .i cant help but try and pick this thing up every chance i get.ive read that certain bikes including gixxers become oil starved when on one wheel for extended periods.im far from doing distance wheelies but im wondering if oil starvation is a problem with the 2k1 model.is it gixxers in general or just earlier 90's models.do i have to overfill my oil or move the pickup back or did modern technology bless the 01's. any feedback would be appreciated .also i am getting the hang of slipping the clutch in first but am failing to get the front wheel off the ground above a few inches when slipping it in second.can anyone tell me any differences or variations when slipping first and second

appreciate the input jowalskimo.how serious is my need. right now im only practicing getting it up and i only end up rolling about 15 feet reengaging the throttle only for a soft landing.should i keep both wheels on the ground until installation or is what im doing safe enough to continue till part arrival. any suggestions always appreciated

it'll probably be okay for a week or two til ya get the pickup, but for real, if your riding em out at all, i would be careful... if you have your gauges on, check for the oil light, and if it comes on cease further similiar action til the pickup arrives....

Re: oil starvation? and second gear wheelie frustration

thanks again dog the last thing i need is to have my motor quit on me i mean its not even summer yet,not to mention i have yet to make my first payment.but definately good look.on another note do you know of any site or company that sells ready for paint plastics .i was on the net looking around and i found a site that sold these raw unpainted brand new bike plastics before i knew my man was looking to refresh his somewhat crunchy 2000r1.they had like a black bondo looking color to them. if not do you know of a spot other than ebay that sells bike plastics at rock bottom prices (he got burnt on ebay before)i think just to be safe ill keep both wheels on the ground because now that i think about it i do engage in the occasional powerup just to remind me how much more powerful this bike is compared to my 84 lol.....then mao.iwasnt thinking that the powerups is stressing the engine all the way up, that cant be good.also my parents live out in kcmo you are lucky to be in a place with so much room to ride and f#$* around.sometimes it sucks trying to maneuver around in this city
