Question question...

hello to all stunters out there.........im newbie.
i dont have a big bike yet, just a yamaha TZR 125 but im practising all stunts which are possible with it.

ive read about the stuntbikes on this site.....but im not gettin one iformation about the CBR 900 RR......it's told in one sentence:...the oil pick up is on the back of the motor,so you can do 20 miles long wheelies without starvation......something about oil, that usually cant get to the motor in other bikes while wheely ?

pls explain/help.........im very interested about bikes,i try to share as much as possible experience with others......thx

bye Jäxen (Thomas)

First off welcome from the Rhine Land! As far as the oil question goes. Bike are not designed to ride in the wheelie postion. They are meant for level driving. When you are in a wheelie the oil in you motor runs off to the back of the case, in hence starving the motor. This doesn't (starving) happen all the time. Altho it depends on how much oil you have in your case. If you are low on oil you run a greater risk of starving the motor. I'm not sure the placement of the oil pick up tube on bikes, but the 900rr is the most popular stunt bike! I hope this helps.

If you look into buying a RR pick up a 96 or newer. Pre 96 had the oil pick up at the front of the engine making it more prone to starvation and the chance of blowing something.
