learning with bar?
Re: learning with bar?
well, it's been discussed too manny times but...if you go without one, you kill a tail or two and learn that without consequences b/c tails forgive mistakes - they sort of absorb the shock and give you opportunity to scrape under any angle. Bars in other hand don't forgive mistakes - you land it just a little to the left or right and you might see your bike doing wicked gymnastics in the air...the result is obvious. Tails are way cheaper than damage that may result from bad scrape...your choice...
edit: sorry, I thouht it was bout scraping...for 12in you don't need a bar for shure...

Re: learning with bar?
just do what i did.
start with a regular bar. (not one that you cut the tail)
that way you dont have to go back that far to scrape it.
dont scrape it until you are 100% sure that you are going to hit
it straight and gently.
and dont try to scrape it for more than a second or two until you get
the hang of it.
if you follow these rules you should not crash.

then after you get good at it,
have a totally pimped out top notch cage and bar manufacturer such as "northwest stuntbike" build you a custom made, much shorter bar that makes your bike more vertical and more stable for bar tricks.

I see a 12 as scraping something.. i.e a bar, stock tail or licence plate.
Personally I'm sticking with the tail, looks far more
then will get a round bar to prevent more damage when I get used to it.. almost there!!! will get it soon :YEAH Thread
