Yes i live on long island but i dont have a quad but they are still after people with dirt bikes..

 

If they are so bad off road make the damn things street legal. Hell bicycles can be on the road.

 

They tried banning use of ATV's in Walworth County Wisconsin once....
Because an irate lady on the board was upset about the noise of the local track, she proposed that an atv may only be riden on private property for a maximum of like 10 minutes or something.

Needless to say it didn't fly over 20,000 peoples names were signed on a protest and parking at the courthouse was minimal on the day of the proposal. Mostly over taken by large trucks.
