Re: DAMN...shes hot!!

i used to just use the torpedo kerosene heater, which was fine but the fumes eventually get to you ... i have fluorescent lighting because it's much more efficient ... you could always go with the propane tanks witht the screw on heating element

I thought about trying one of those propane heaters for my shed. I wonder how much heat they throw. I don't really want to insulate.

If I ever get into working out in the garage in the winter a lot I will invest in a propane radiant heater. Run the kerosene for 5 minutes to warm everything up, then run the propane heater to keep everything warm. The torpedo heaters are awesome, but the fumes do get to you and they are loud and annoying after about 30 minutes.

Radiant heaters=heat objects not air. I don't think you would have to insulate unless it was below 0F.

Re: DAMN...shes hot!!

my natural gas heater is radiant ... I can't decide if I like it better than a standard heater - my buddy esser has a standard one ... the radiant seems to be more efficient and like niner said it heats objects not the air ...

i think it's worth it ... plus it's not that expensive and you can do it yourself, it adds value to the house so why not ... you always have the option of using propane and kerosene if need be ...

when i call my house it goes straight to voicemail, which leads me to believe our cable modem/router is unplugged.

Tarping the 12-18" between the fender and the doorframe wouldn't have done much.
