DAMN...shes hot!!
Re: DAMN...shes hot!!
it'll be about a month away from now...as of now. if the projects are delayed then it will be longer. i'm going to let people know the exact date one week prior, that's why i wanted to give a timeframe now.
Re: DAMN...shes hot!!
I can GUARANTEE you I will never have a big wedding with a ceremony, banquet, etc unless I marry into a family with major dough and they pay for the whole thing. Paying $50,000 for a ******* wedding is retarded. Why waste all that money on one bullshit day when you can invest it into your future together? It's a dumb idea.

Who knows how long this will last though.
To each his own but I seriously couldn't imagine doing that. Sure it's every girls dream but lots of people have to give up dreams, especially if it means a better life for their family in the future. There's a lot of things you can with 20k. Unless you got money to blow then **** it.

Edit: didn't mean to sound like I was bragging on that last part, I just meant that it makes us happy that everyone still says what a great time they had.

Re: DAMN...shes hot!!
traditionally, yes
i'm not quite sure what the average wedding costs here, i just assumed a decent one for 20k. i know in kansas you can get a pretty fancy one for under 10k.
scoot...what did your wedding cost and what did you get in gifts? i know it doesn't even out, but it's not like you're walking away with all that money wasted away. the smaller the guests usually means the cheaper the wedding.
I already got one that doesn't want one.

Re: DAMN...shes hot!!
My wedding was like one of the best parties I have ever been to except classy. We had it at Fox Hill Country Club in Exeter, PA. I had to get a sponsor though because nobody in my family is a member there. Our wedding pictures on the golf course are amazing. We are married for 4 years and I'm still paying on the loan I took out for the wedding. LOL. I don't care though...it's low interest from the credit union. I had a great time and it was worth every penny. People still tell me how great they thought it was and how much fun they had.

Re: DAMN...shes hot!!
when mike and i get married, it will be a small wedding....i've already been married once and the wedding won't be in kansas, therefore it's not that convenient for my family and friends....so i'm expecting maybe 20 guests tops from my side. as for mike, he has a very small family on both sides, he's not wanting to even get married so he'll try and keep his guest list as small as possible, most likely. i bet we can get away with wedding that will please both of us for 2-7k. imo, it's worth every penny,.

both of us except me Re: DAMN...shes hot!!
There's a llot of stuff you can cut out to save money but still keep lots of good stuff to keep it nice and classy. For example, when they call the toast, most people don't even grab the champange or are even at their seat. They toast with whatever is in their hands or what they are getting from the bar at the time. Eliminating that saves a bunch of money. The place we had our reception gave it to just my wife and I anyway for free but when the DJ announced the toast, everyone just held up what they were drinking.
You can also eliminate worthless stuff like chair covers, you can make your own center pieces cheap too. My wife made ours from stuff she bought at AC Moore and each one looked expensive but only cost us $2.75 total.
