So I tried wakeboarding last Friday. Before then I had never wakeboarded or waterskied, just tubed.

 

I've been waterskiing since i was 7, slalom since i was 12.......tried wakeboarding the last few years but it's tough.......I can get up and stay up but no tricks yet.....

 

how was trying to get up on the wakeboard?

 

Caught an edge the first attempt, got up no problem the second time and immediately started making cuts and going outside the wake. Then I got cocky and biffed trying to switch to fakey. The guy driving the boat said "why don't you get the feel for it a little before trying tricks" I told him I already had the feel for it. I would say I am just a natural, but really it is just because I have been snowboarding for years.

wakeboarding is whats up ... my dude is doing inverts .... i don't land all my jumps ... working on going toeside and progressive edge more ... sucks he is in alaska so i don't know when i'll get to go again

I'm so buying a bowrider with a tower when my truck is paid off. The setup we were using was ghetto as ****, but it worked. The wake off the back of the boat kind of sucked so I really couldn't get much pop off the wake. Maybe my timing was off or I need to practice more. I only got about 15 minutes of ride time in, but the guy who owns the wake board said I was at the level it took him 4 years to get to. I was super comfortable on the board right away. I felt like I fell down a flight of stairs the next couple of days though.

 

You ever see wakeskating? **** looks crazy as hell.
