It depends on how long and how sharp the knife is. In most cases the ribcage is going to protect you from any pocket knife.

Do it before you eat first thing in the morning if you can to get the most benefit. Also look into interval training and it's benefits.

that sounds good but like you said work up to it.....I'd power walk for 30 minutes and then since your heart rate will already be elevated (if it's really power walking)......then just run as long as you can......but seriously good job sticking with it.....you look good!!

Re: Bought my wife a new rack *PICS*

I am 99% that I am going to quit the Powerhouse gym by my house and find another gym. There were only 2 women in the entire place and they could have kicked my ***. It's definately a meathead gym. They haven't updated the cardio equipment in over 5 years and it smells like ball sweat. They also sell mesh shirts.

thanks! i feel pretty good about myself now.
i consider it power walking...mike, what do you think? my treadmill has 4 speed zones, the first is warmup, the second is fat burn, the third is aerobic, the fourth is performance. i start walking i put the **** to the top of the warmup, when i start power walking i move it to the very beg. of fat burn, when i'm jogging/running it goes to the mid/top of fat burn, and when i'm sprinting i put it to the top of aerobic/botton of performance. not sure if that info helps or was a waste of my time LOL

Don't skip breakfast. Do your cardio then eat right afterwards as soon as you can. The key is to get no calories in your system before hand so your body has nothing but fat to burn. So if you need coffee beforehand drink it black with splenda or stevia. It's not going to hurt that much if you eat first, but it maximizes your effort if you dont.

Good to know. After a real good session of liftin tho the last thing I wanna do is cardio which sucks. But Ima change it up. Gotta get in shape before May.

maybe i'll start making my coffee prior to the treadmill that way when i'm done i'll drink a cup and then eat oatmeal, fiber bar, or yogurt.

i'd prefer to drink a whole pot of coffee.

if they are smart they wouldn't be looking for a fight......

If I'm forced to pull a knife they better be ready for a fight for their life......that's the only reason I'd pull any weapon......I'm going to kill you.

Best way to do it:
Cardio in the morning before breakfast
Lift in the afternoon

I have heard that it is best for women who want to tone to do cardio before their lifting, but I heard that a good 8 years ago and I'm not sure if that is still valid.

Yeah Im assuming it was a dull *** pocketknife coz it really didnt do **** - 4 stitches on my arm and I was done. Im sure it wouldnt have done damage if he hit me in my stomach or ribs either
