It takes 18 minutes to start burning fat. Thats what I was always told and believed but upon checking google there's answers that vary from 20 minutes to an hour. I know an hour is but I believe the 20 minutes answer.

that's all I was saying.....try to work up to 20 minutes......or instead of running 12mph for 15 minutes run 10mph for 20....you know what I mean??

that's why I'm not gonna slice.....I'm gonna stab and twist......always in the neck/torso

I was trained in hand to hand combat with and against a knife in the Army.....it's not rocket science

yeah I've always heard something to that effect....which means even if you run for 18 minutes you're not really burning any fat.....it's everything over 18-20 minutes that does the work you're looking for......

Just from the quick reading I did its gonna change my workouts. I always do cardio first coz I know Im not gonna wanna do it after lifting. But it says (and I knew this) to lift first or do any light intensity working out before doing your cardio coz it gets your heart rate elevated so when you jump on the treadmill or stepper or whatever - you'll be burning fat right away. Makes sense - just SUCKS....

I'm serious. If I start skipping my snacks and stuff I don't feel good and my weight plummets. I mentioned that to MikeM once. It's a running joke at work that I can sniff out all the free food in the facility and that I always have food in my hands. I bring snacks to all my meeting and now that I have been here a long time I feel comfortable bring food to the executive meetings. I used to think the VP's and CFO's would look down on me for it but they don't. They love it and it gets them talking to me. It's like my "thing".

Do your cardio first thing in the morning before you eat anything. It's the best time of the day because your body is burning all fat because you haven't eaten in 8+ hours plus you get the full effect fo the after burn because you aren't going to sleep in the 4-6 hours following.

No doubt - this was when I was younger and I got a ***** scar to show for it lol. I didnt even realize I was stabbed til after if I remember correctly when I saw the blood. I kept fighting like nothing happened. It did hurt going in tho but that could be coz it was a dull blade or something I mean I'm sure it'd hurt just as much with a sharp blade but it felt like it was pushed in with force to get in there. Now if homie twisted it like you were saying, even tho it was in my arm Im sure I woulda felt it a lot more than I did

I heard that too so for a few wks I'd wake up and go to the gym on an empty stomach and run for 45 minutes but that **** got old quick.

You also deplete your muscles of engery (ATP maybe?) if you do cardio first. You should do 5 minutes of warm up cardio to get the blood pumping before you lift though.
